dreams & delusions

I dreamed of you on a distant shore…
where I drowned in a sea of delusional sentiment
Invented in my imagination …
Where I tasted you in dreams

& felt your touch
In passion filled nightmares

where you conquered my demons
burying them beneath my walls…

that you demolished.

I soared with you like a phoenix

in bliss filled fantasy
To a realm beyond reality
Where you loved me …
And I was whole and free of fear…
And safe…
and saved…

but then they came …
the demons in black and blue
& I cried for you …

But you never came …

never heard my plea…
How could you…
My bitter -sweet delusion.

And now I hide away…
Again afraid
of she…

I thought I was
But wasn’t.

I build new walls from memories
With solidified tears
to shield the fears of each new day
and pray for the endless sleep
to  come my way…
and carry me to infinity….

a place beyond …

you…

& me…..
